The University of Louisville Dallas-Ft. Worth Alumni Club 2011 Membership Drive is underway.
Your membership dues help the Club award scholarship money to deserving UofL students from Texas. Over the last four years we have sponsored Taylor Jackson, a graduating senior (with honors). She has made the Dean's List for every semester, all while working full-time for UPS.
Dues and donations made in 2011 will support our award of next year's scholarship.
While the money raised via dues and donations are important, Club membership also provides the opportunity to reach out to the community. Recently we were asked to visit a local elementary school and talk to students about the importance of learning and doing one’s best in life.
It was a fun and meaningful way to represent our University, and just one example of why you should become involved with the UofL DFW Alumni Club.
If you're interested in learning more, please contact Club President Mitch Matamoros (uofl@verizon.net / 214-348-5325).
We hope you'll join us.
Ban on women driving should be considered world wide... :-) I would never allow my wife driving my car.. :-)
